Experts at detecting Asbestos then developing and monitoring plans for its efficient, cost-effective removal

Move the slider above to view this room as we do. We might find asbestos in window or door caulking/glazing, pipe insulation, corkboard mastics, ventilation system, beneath the floor tiles or in other areas. Seeing what others don’t is the ART of Hazardous Material Detection.

We know how to find asbestos. 35 years of experience inspecting asbestos across a variety of settings ranging from schools and hospitals to prisons and manufacturing plants have made us experts not just in how to find it but also in developing plans to efficiently and predictably remove it from almost any environment.

Asbestos

Asbestos is a collection of six naturally-occurring fibrous minerals which, due to their durability, insulating and fire-resistant properties, were widely used as an additive to building materials and other commercial products prior to 1978.

Since then, the health hazards associated with asbestos and airborne asbestos fibers have become apparent. The EPA and OSHA have established regulations regarding the management of materials containing asbestos; federal and state regulations now apply to the renovation or demolition of structures containing asbestos as well as the remediation of these materials.

At Adelaide, we know detecting and then contending with the presence of asbestos in a building can have serious implications beyond the obvious health concerns. Legal, financial and usability issues all come into play. This is why, with our team of certified inspectors and management planners, we’ve developed a proven, predictable approach for asbestos detection, asbestos remediation planning and the monitoring of asbestos abatement.

Our asbestos customers are diverse: school districts, churches, public and private property owners and insurance companies have all utilized our asbestos detection and remediation planning services. In fact, more than 175 New York state school districts and private schools have relied on Adelaide’s expertise in asbestos abatement management at some point during the last 35 years.
